MMS’ response to Covid-19 challenges

We are living in unprecedented and extraordinary times. The coronavirus pandemic is impacting everyone from our families and friends, to our customers, our businesses and the first responders who are fighting on the front lines. As the situation continues to affect our world, we want to reach out and update you on how we are able to,despite the lock down, keep supporting our employees, communities and customers. How the MMS team are working MMS’s response to CV-19 has been informed by the steps taken by other companies globally. We have taken into account what has been declared best practice. All of our employees are in isolation, working from home and our engineers who were completing hypercare (on-site training and user acceptance testing) were taken off our clients’ sites proactively. Using various online meeting platforms from home, we are now deploying extended remote assistance and training (remote hypercare) to get clients up to speed on new WIRE functionality that is available to them in this challenging time. Talking to clients has also allowed us to further unpack their immediate challenges to help us provide reactive solutions on the WIRE platform. Outlook on the pandemic Governments have responded with their own measures and policies to fight this pandemic, but it seems that the global trend is heading towards a wider lock-down, as the virus mutates and responses are built out. We each have a role to play in containing this epidemic and the time taken for this to work through the system, could be longer than we think despite the positive signs from China. Ensuring up-time and remote capability We understand the importance of keeping your systems up and running during this time. Due to the nature of our products and services, we have been able to transition effectively to a remote "first" working environment as we continue to support our clients and address their challenges. Upgrades, refinements, new features, client support and customisations continue to take place during the lock-down period. What also resonates with our clients is our adaptations to our training and testing environments to allow these functions to remotely continue. Our ability to engage remotely has been reaffirmed as one of our recent deployments of WIRE to a gold plant is taking place entirely remotely. WIRE empowers individuals to work from anywhere How MMS can assist your business with a remote working response At MMS we are in discussions with some customers to adapt their usual approach and to leverage WIRE* as an integrated business continuity solution, as we offer the ability to maintain technical functions online, geographically and isolated. We have capacity that is immediately available to support these types of challenges if this helps you solve a problem in your response plan. Please feel free to reach out - it always helps to have options and we can provide a limited or full solution in a number of days. *Note: WIRE, our cloud software and web-based platform, has enabled our clients to provide remote support to site operations. Our product offers real-time insights with the ability to track execution and make better informed decisions. Closing A time like this is a reminder about how we all need to band together to overcome challenges and complexities. Our teams are here for you, and we’ll continue to solve challenges, keep you updated and informed. Our thoughts are with those affected by the virus, particularly those who are sick. We wish them a speedy recovery, and we remain inspired by our healthcare workers and others who are caring for people around the world.
